Creating Template Itineraries
In Wetu you are able to create Sample Itineraries - general itineraries without any specific dates or client details. You can create these generic itineraries ahead of time, and use them as examples of packages your client can choose from. Once your client decides on an itinerary they like, you can convert it to a personal itinerary with their details, and tweak it to their liking. For guidance on how to do this, refer to the article Itinerary Builder: What is the difference between a Personal and Sample Itinerary?
Creating Template Day Components
In Wetu, you are able to create what we call a Day Component. This allows you to build a day itinerary as a template, that you can then add to as many itineraries as you wish. You are able to add Activities, Day Notes, Expert Tips, Includes and Excludes into your Day Component. Then in the Planner Step of the Itinerary Builder, simply add a Component and edit as needed.

Create Complicated Routes as Templates
Cruises, Trains, hikes and even some normal driving routes can be complicated and time-consuming for Consultants to create each and every time. Building the routes as components that can be added into itineraries are a great way to have frequently used options ready and available to be added into an itinerary.
If the routing includes overnight accommodation, it can be built as a Multi-day Component and added into an itinerary in the Accommodation Step of the Itinerary builder. For information on how to do this refer to the article Components: How to Build a Multiple Day Component
If the routing is just for one day, add it as a Day Component in the Planner Step of the Itinerary Builder. For information on how to do this refer to the article Components: How to Build a Day Component
Here are some helpful guides on building the actual route:
Add Active URLs to Your Itineraries
It is possible to add Active URLs to several different parts of your Wetu Itineraries, as well as to Company and Consultant details.
The following parts of an Itinerary can contain Active URLs:
- Ts and Cs
- Expert Tips
- Includes & Excludes
- Day Notes
For example, you might want to have direct link from your itinerary to the page on your website which hosts your Company's Terms & Conditions. You could add this URL in the Ts and Cs field in Step 1 of the Itinerary Builder.
Your client will then be able to click directly through to that part of your website from Terms and Conditions which appear under the About Us tab of your Itinerary.
You may also wish to have a direct link to your company's website appear in the consultant info on your itinerary:
To add Active URLs to Consultant Info, as above, navigate to the Admin tab from your Dashboard and add the URL under Company Details.
Active URLs will show in Virtual and Digital Itineraries, digital versions of Printable Outputs, and on Wetu's Mobile App, TravelKey.
